Description :
Mid-Century Modern Walnut Credenza Sideboard
5-Drawer Cabinet 1960s This mid-century modern credenza features a
distinctive walnut wood grain finish with clean horizontal lines typical of
1960s furniture design. The piece combines both drawer and cabinet storage with
five total drawers and a cabinet section with adjustable shelving. The
construction shows quality craftsmanship with dovetail drawer joinery and metal
drawer slides that operate smoothly. The cabinet doors feature original chrome
hinges and open to reveal interior storage space with repositionable shelves.
The piece stands on characteristic tapered legs that complement the streamlined
aesthetic. The walnut veneer displays rich brown tones with visible wood grain
patterns throughout. Storage marks and minor surface scratches are present from
decades of use, and one leg shows a small chip exposing the underlying wood.
The drawers were utilized for file storage as evidenced by the hanging file
system still in place. American furniture manufacturing from the 1960s
reflected the post-war prosperity period when mid-century modern design
dominated residential and office interiors. This credenza represents the era's
emphasis on clean lines, functional storage, and quality wood construction that
characterized furniture produced during the height of the mid-century modern
movement. Measurements: 62 1/2"W x 29 3/4"H x 23 3/4"D
