Description :
1940s Handblown European Santa
Claus Glass Ornament Set This auction offers a group of
five handblown figural Christmas ornaments, each representing a unique
depiction of Santa Claus. Made between the 1940s and 1950s, these glass
ornaments feature painted details, internal silvering, and applied mica trim.
Their designs include both classic red-suited Santas and a rounder stylized
version in gold and white tones. The hanging mechanisms are formed from
original metal wire, indicative of the production period. Though unmarked, the
style and construction are consistent with mid-century West German and
Czechoslovakian glass exports made for Western holiday markets. These ornaments
reflect the craftsmanship typical of Lauscha-style production, well-known for
its role in revitalizing post-war Christmas decoration exports. Measurements: None are the exact same size Largest one: 4" Smallest one: 2 3/4"
