Description :
Mexican Sterling Hinged Bypass
Bangle With Turquoise Accents This is a vintage Mexican
sterling silver bypass-style hinged bangle bracelet, designed with a
distinctive asymmetrical double-bar front and adorned with a total of ten small
round turquoise cabochons in bezel settings. The bracelet opens at a central
hinge and closes with a notch-and-pin clasp, as visible in the multiple angles
shown. Both ends of the bangle are stamped—one with “MEXICO” and the other with
“STERLING,” confirming its silver composition and origin. The patina and
construction style are indicative of mid-20th-century Mexican artisan
silversmithing, a period when sterling turquoise jewelry flourished as a
hallmark of regional craftsmanship. This bangle demonstrates precise
symmetrical stone placement, with cleanly soldered settings and a functional,
discreet hinge mechanism. Note: Look at the imagery, this is a very small bracelet. 2 3/4" around
Sterling silver, turquoise cabochons.
