Description :
Midcentury France Square Scroll
Metal Trivet Patinated A single square openwork metal
trivet with symmetrical scroll and vine design, manufactured in France as
confirmed by the engraved "FRANCE" hallmark on its underside.
The elevated latticework features stylized botanical cutouts with surface
patination in green, blue, and brown tones due to natural oxidation. The
construction style and material finish reflect mid-20th-century French domestic
metalcraft, commonly used for protecting tabletops from heated cookware or serving
vessels. Elevated by four corner legs—some cylindrical and affixed—the
functional design is paired with ornamental execution, characteristic of
utilitarian decorative ware produced in France for both export and domestic use
during the post-war period. No manufacturer branding is present beyond country
designation. Materials Made Of: Silver-toned alloy Measurements: Trivet: 7 5/8" square x 1"H
