Description :
1950s Glass Terrier Dogs Book Ends This vintage set features a
selection of clear pressed glass sculptures produced between the 1950s and
1970s. It includes a pair of terrier dog figurines rendered upright with detailed ears
and snout. Item display refined press-molded textures and clarity, emblematic of mid-century
decorative trends across Western and East Asian households. These pieces
reflect a design movement that blended sculptural charm with utilitarian
display. Between the 1950s and 1970s,
molded glass décor experienced a resurgence due to industrial production
methods that enabled clarity, symmetry, and affordability. Animal motifs and
figural novelties were prized for their symbolic ties to loyalty, strength, and
domestic storytelling, reflecting post-war values and emerging global design
interests. Note: Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measurements: 7"L x 2 1/2"W x 5 1/2"H
