Authentic Mid-Century Vending Machine With Chicago Lock And Key

This auction lot features an original vintage vending machine complete with its matching lock cylinder and key. The key is stamped “Chicago Lock Co.” and “Made in U.S.A.” ( The key does work ) on one side, with “VC112” on the other, indicating its authentic manufacturer branding and coded system. Chicago Lock Company has been a trusted name in American security hardware since the early 20th century, widely used in vending and industrial applications. The vending machine itself has a classic design with a transparent yellowish plastic globe for product display, a metal lid with knob, and a sturdy metal coin mechanism embossed with the words “THANK YOU.” The machine’s body is finished in red panels with black base accents, reflecting mid-century American style and engineering. This piece represents a historically significant example of commercial vending technology, combining durable construction with functional design.
