Description :
1930s Philco Wooden Radio With Police Band Dial And Original Knobs This auction lot features an original Philco tabletop radio from the late
1930s to early 1940s, a period when Philco was a leading innovator in home
radio technology. The radio is housed in a wooden cabinet with a warm brown
finish, featuring a horizontal grille on the left and a square tuning dial on
the right. The dial is marked “Philco” and includes AM frequency ranges along

standard broadcasts and emergency or shortwave channels of that era. Three
black control knobs are positioned below the dial for tuning and adjustments,
and a black handle is mounted on the top for portability. Philco radios were
central to American households during the golden age of radio, making this piece
historically significant as an example of early consumer electronics and
communication technology. Materials made of: Wood, Glass, Metal, Plastic Category: Collectibles > Vintage Electronics > Radios
