Triad of Time: Programs That Illuminate Stage, Sound, and Space This curated auction set celebrates three rare performance artifacts,
each a testament to the artistry and collaboration that defined its era. Rosalinda (1964, Woodstock Amphitheater, Oakland) Laserium: A Cosmic Laser Light Concert (1974, Morrison Planetarium, San
Francisco) Il Tabarro (1975, San Francisco Opera) Each program in this set is a tactile tribute to the full spectrum of
contributors—performers, directors, designers, technicians, and
visionaries—whose names deserve to be remembered as much as the performances
themselves. Measurements: Rosalinda (1964): Length: 11 Inches; Width: 8 1/2 Inches; Laserium: A Cosmic Laser Light Concert

This pink-hued program honors the Oakland Light Opera Association’s 14th annual
summer season, presenting Johann Strauss’ Rosalinda with a spirited cast
led by Delores Bernhard (Rosalinda), Nathaniel Lopez
(Eisenstein), and Jeannine Gallon (Adele). Supporting roles featured Edgar
Iverson (Dr. Falke), Ron Gallegos (Alfred), Don Martindale
(Frank), and Frank Falls (Orlofsky). The production was directed by William
H. Newton, with musical direction by Frederick L. Burleigh,
choreography by Grace Doty, and scenic design by Robert L. Bateman.
Costumes were coordinated by Marjorie McCune, and lighting design by James
R. McKinney. The Pacific Ballet Company contributed dance sequences, with
standout performers Bill Breedlove and Grace Doty. This program
captures the joyful essence of community theater elevated by professional
precision.
The black-and-white flyer for Laserium marks the San Francisco debut of
this groundbreaking laser show, produced by Laser Images Inc. and
conceptualized by filmmaker Ivan Dryer. The visual performance was
executed live by “laserists” including Steve Shapiro, Ron Hipschman,
and Elsa Garmire, whose pioneering optics work shaped the show’s
aesthetic. Music selections featured tracks by Pink Floyd, Led
Zeppelin, and The Doors, curated by David T. Dryer and
synchronized manually with laser effects. Technical direction was overseen by Bing
Quock, with dome projection support from the Morrison Planetarium staff.
The flyer’s cosmic imagery and detailed schedule reflect the show’s immersive
ambition and the collaborative effort of artists, engineers, and musicians who
turned science centers into psychedelic sanctuaries.
This pale blue program documents Puccini’s Il Tabarro as staged by San Francisco Opera in November 1975 at the War Memorial Opera House. The cast featured Brenda Roberts (Giorgetta), Guillermo Sarabia (Michele), Robleto Merolla (Luigi), Fedora Barbieri (La Frugola), Federico Davià (Il Talpa), Raymond Manton (Il Tinca), Joseph Frank (Song Vendor), and lovers Pamela South and William Wahman. The production was conducted by Elyakum Shapirra, directed by Patrick Libby, with scenic design by Paolo Bregni, lighting by Robert Brand, and chorus direction by Robert Jones. Musical preparation was led by Philip Eisenberg, and scenic artistry by Kenneth MacClelland, with costumes crafted by the San Francisco Opera Costume Shop. The performance was broadcast live on KKHI radio on November 28, 1975, and remains archived as a landmark in the company’s history.
